Caryn Hall

Director, Teacher

Caryn Hall holds a BFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, has danced professionally with companies in Europe and the US, created a new musical with Wesley Balk at the Musical Theater Institute in MN, choreographed with David Story and the Dance Machine in NYC, & studied playwriting with David Hare and the Young Playwrights Program of Florida Studio Theater.

Elizabeth Meizen is born to work with children. She earned her degree in Early Childhood Development from Stevenson University in Maryland. Currently she is teaching Pre-Kindergarten at Coast Kids Preschool in Carlsbad. She has a true passion for creating art and believes that children should never be limited in their self-expression.

Teacher

Amy McDowell is a teacher, a singer, and an actress. She’s performed from northern CA to southern CA as well as musically directed casts of 50 children ages 6 to 18! Amy has a B of A in voice from the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific. Julia Jordan

Teacher

Julia Jordan started her musical career at the age of nine, when she auditioned and was accepted into an Off-Broadway theater in New York City, TADA! Professional Children’s Theater. A few years later she started school at the High School for Music and Art and the Performing Arts (the FAME school), where she studied classical vocal techniques, music theory, guitar, and songwriting.

Sarah Pacetti graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. She has been teaching for nine years in grades 2,3, or 4. Teaching is her passion and she absolutely loves working with children of all ages. She has been married for 10 years and has a 3 year old son.

All students in Tuesday night’s Musical Theater and Saturday morning’s Broadway Bound need to have black jazz shoes or jazz sneakers. Bring them to class every week. They can be purchased at Payless, Dance Applause, and dance shoe shops. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

What is the Share?

It is a night of performances by the students of PRODIGY. Children share what they have been working on in class and they have the opportunity to practice PERFORMING! There are three Shares a year: March, June, and December. You will love watching your children’s progress as they get more comfortable on stage and begin perfecting their craft.

2012 Summer Camps at PRODIGY

Broadway Sprouts : July 16 – 20

Ages 4 to 6

Broadway Bound : July 23 – 27

Ages 7 to 10

Broadway Sprouts II : July 30 – August 3

Ages 4 to 6

The price will increase from $149 to $169 after March 16, 2012.

  • Camp will run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
  • After camp care will be available from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • Each camp will complete a scene, a song, and a dance from a Musical.
  • Children will eat lunch at Cottonwood Creek (located next to the studio).
  • Each camp has 20 spots available; sign up early and save money now!
    Payment in full holds your spot.

Both dance connection and prodigy will be hosting the camps!
Payment in full at time of reservation please.

What a nice opportunity for kids to “act” out! Caryn has the magic touch when it comes to getting my daughter to sing, dance, and act! For days after having a class there, my daughter is singing the songs! It is so wonderful to see a structured arts class that embraces my child’s imagination and talents! We will go to a week-long summer camp and have our kid’s birthday party there! We love it!
